Either 300 people in your district pass the One Subject at a Time Act or stimulus bills can be Christmas Trees! Here’s how you get to choose…
Today’s Action: Urge your reps to co-sponsor OSTA (the One Subject at a Time Act, H.R. 2240).
Become one of “the 300” for this bill. (If you don’t yet know what the 300 is, check below my signature. We explain it there.)
Representative Thomas Massie is an OSTA co-sponsor. He posted the following on Facebook…
“…each bill should address only one issue!
“Congress should pass separate bills to deal with #coronavirus…
“I could probably vote for some of them.
“I voted for the first coronavirus bill.
“But so many are trying to get their pork…in this next bill!
“Legislation shouldn’t be decorated like a Christmas tree.”
If you agree with Tom Massie, you can help HR 2240’s other sponsors, led by Rep. Russ Fulcher of Idaho. Demand that you Representatives…
Leave the box checked to be one of “the 300” in your district.
We’re in beta test mode, so if you have problems tell us a Feedback@DownsizeDC.org {Screen shots are extremely helpful; troubleshooting usually requires telling us what device, operating system, and browser (including version) you’re using.}
Also, Downsize DC runs on a lean budget. It’s made possible, primarily, by modest monthly pledges. We seek one-time contributions, but our plan requires new pledgers right now. We provide several options by which you can contribute or pledge.

Agenda Setters by Downsize DC
Our plan to pass HR 2240, OSTA
Recruit 300 people in your Congressional district.
These “Agenda Setters” will visit your local congressional offices in waves of 3, 5, or 6 people at a time. And these meetings will happen week-after-week until your reps relent and sponsor our bills.
No meetings will happen until we have all 300 people in a district ready to go. We call that Option Activism.
We will recruit and send waves of Agenda Setters to every district in the country.
Once we have a majority of co-sponsors for a bill, we can force passage using a discharge petition, even if congressional leaders object. But we expect congressional leaders to submit to a vote long before that happens.
This strategy will work better than voting harder or complaining louder.
