Quotes of the Day:

Subject: Heller Case Confirms Individual Right & The First Test of the Obama Presidency
Alan Korwin, host of GunLaws.com, and owner of Bloomfield Press, the largest publisher and distributor of gun-law books in America, will be joining me to discuss the Supreme Court's decision this week in the Heller case, along with the future of gun laws in America -- particularly in the area of citizen carry laws.
Alan is the author or co-author of several books and guides of value to gun owners, and will be issuing a new book on this very Supreme Court decision later this year. I expect you'll learn a lot by listening to Alan.
Additionally, today, it's very convenient that Gun Owners of America is a sponsor of this program. I'll share with you my sponsor's "take" on the Heller decision, in the "Gun Owners Update."
We'll cover a couple of things, but the main subject will be on the FISA Amendments bill. This bill permits spying on American's phone calls and emails without a warrant as required by the Fourt Amendment. It also allows major telecoms who participated in this spying, knowing full-well they needed a warrant, to receive immunity in civil suits presently filed.
The House Democratic leadership caved to the President on the FISA Amendments bill. And the Senate Democratic leadership intended to do so this past week. But we bought a repreive, thanks to the work of Senators Feingold, Dodd, and Leahy. Most experts think the delay is only temporary. I can tell you that DownsizeDC.org's coalition partners think that we have something less than 20 Senators who will back a filibuster. We need 41. So at this point, no one is really expecting a filibuster to be tried. Hardly any debate and a rush to a vote is expected upon the Senate's return from the Independence Day recess -- perhaps as soon as July 8.
But on today's program, I'll preview what we think is necessary to win this battle. But I'll give you a hint: It comes down to one man... Barak Obama. Make no mistake, this is the first test of his presidency. If he wins, there will be many others. But I wonder, and I want everyone to begin to wonder, out loud . . .
"Why does Barak Obama want to pre-pardon George Bush's illegal behavior and give a Get Out of Jail Free card to large corporations who violated the Fourth Amendment?"LISTEN
