I wrote a letter telling Congress to pass the Write the Laws Act using DownsizeDC.org’s campaign.
Please do the same. You may borrow from or copy this letter...
Two years ago, the IRS tried to regulate tax preparers based on a bogus interpretation of a 19th-century law.
Those regulations would've destroyed competition in the industry to the benefit of large firms. Hundreds of thousands of tax preparers might have lost work.
Thankfully, three preparers sued, and the IRS LOST in the federal courts! The regulations won't be enforced. (http://bit.ly/REcFIP)
How many other people, in other industries, are hurt by federal agency regulations, but don’t have the means or advocates to defend their rights?
The Write the Laws Act will PROTECT us from runaway bureaucracy. It…
* prevents federal agencies from writing regulations we must obey, and...
* requires CONGRESS to pass ALL laws and regulations, as the Constitution requires.
Bureaucrats don't represent me. YOU do. You must...
Stand with the victims of bureaucratic oppression and pass the Write the Laws Act!
