Subject: How to get your voice and your ideals heard

Media outreach is the crucial next step in our relentless drive to build an Army so large that Congress can't ignore it, and to make our proposals seen and heard by everyone, everywhere, every day.
The establishment media seems to think there are, at best, only three positions in every political debate . . .
* Keep government the same size (this is usually called a "budget cut!")
* Make government larger (usually referred to as "compromise")
* Make government larger than large
Our position, that we could foster human progress by truly Downsizing DC, is rarely heard.
We look at this situation and ponder how to fix it. As usual, when we think about strategic problems, we start by asking the following question . . .
What's the easiest step, that can lead to growth that will make possible the next easiest step that will then make possible a slightly harder step, and so on, until we reach our ultimate goal?
In the case of the media our ultimate goal is the same as it is for Congress. Just as you are a constituent to your elected representatives you are also a customer to the media, and the customer is always right. This means . . .
YOU should be able to get the kind of information presented that you want. Your views should be heard. The media companies that work for you should not ignore you, anymore than your Congressional employees should.
In the long run we want to overwhelm the establishment media in the same way that we want to overwhelm Congress. But that's the end goal, and the goal is not the starting point. Those who believe in the political equivalent of "get rich quick schemes" are never going to get what they want. And, if you think about it . . .
For how many decades have those who believe that small, limited government, fosters human progress, failed to get what they want? We think it's been going on for about a century, and that this record of defeat owes primarily to a failure to . . .
Always take the next easiest step that leads to growth that makes possible a slightly harder step.
Instead, there's always been too much haste that makes waste, too much "swinging for the fence," and too many "random acts" that appear to make a big noise, at first, but that ultimately lead nowhere. As the antidote to this we advocate . . .
* The strategy of the tortoise who beat the hare
* The hitting of many singles, instead of grand slams
* Only actions that foster our ability to do more and better things in constant, relentless, increments
And so, we've taken things step by incremental step . . .
* We needed to secure our funding for basic operations for the year, and we did
* We needed to prepare our website for increased traffic, and we did
* Now we need to start telling the media about things like our "Read the Bills Act" and the "One Subject at a Time Act"
