Subject: More progress on the "Enumerated Powers Act"
The "Enumerated Powers Act" would force Congress to cite its Constitutional authority for every law it passes. When we last reported to you on this bill in mid-March it had 44 co-sponsors. Since then the bill has gained 3 more co-sponsors. Perhaps the 12,534 messages sent by DC Downsizers (up from 8,328 in our last report) helped generate this progress.
Let's keep pushing.
If you think Congress should have to quote "chapter and verse" from the Constitution before it creates a new law or program, please ask Congress to pass the "Enumerated Powers Act."
If your representative is in the list of co-sponsors beneath my signature, you can use your personal comments to thank him or her for supporting this bill, and encourage your Senators, who will also receive the message, to follow your representative's lead.

Pressure on Congress does work. We just need more of it. You can help us grow by contributing just a few dollars a month: $5, $10, $15, $20, or $25. All of those amounts equal less than a dollar a day. Please start a monthly credit card pledge to make us grow. You can do so here.
Or, you can make a one-time contribution to help us make budget for April. A $100 contribution would help us win a $1,000 matching donation from Jack Mullen. You can contribute here.
Thank you for being a part of the growing Downsize DC Army.
