Do You Have a Right to Travel?

ACTION ITEM

I wrote Congress, ordering them to Abolish the TSA.

The hardwired message says…

Abolish the TSA, and permit airlines to provide their own security plans.

I added these comments, from which you may copy or edit…

The Government Accountability Office (http://fxn.ws/1cpbyRZ) finds that the TSA…

* Spent billions on programs with few demonstrated benefits
* Doesn't perform any better that private screeners

The TSA is illegal, immoral, and unneeded…

It's illegal because the Constitution enumerates no power for the Federal state to be in the airline safety business.

It's immoral because it initiates force against the airlines and their customers to create an air safety monopoly.

It's unneeded because airlines and airports want their customers to be safe! Let them compete. Don't monopolize the “airline safety” business with tens of thousands of bureaucrats.

Obey the Constitution, and do what’s morally right.

—END OF LETTER—

Send your letter to Congress using DownsizeDC.org's Educate the Powerful System.

You will receive a copy of your letter to Congress via email. In this holiday travel season, today's Action Item should resonate. Please share your letter with friends. Ask them to join you in taking the same action.

Your letters are making a difference. You've helped us get the the One Subject at a Time Act introduced in both houses of Congress. It was because of you that Read the Bills was introduced as well. Yesterday, you caused another Congressional office to call me, because they were interested in joining our agenda. And the day before that, we saw a letter from powerful Democrat in the Senate, saying he knew about Downsize DC's bill.

All of that demonstrates that Downsize DC is a valuable service.

If you are Thankful for this service, please consider making  a monthly pledge or generous donation.

Happy Thanksgiving,
