Big news for the One Subject at a Time Act!

New evidence that Congress actually likes Downsize DC’s One Subject at a Time Act! Retweet

We’ve been telling you this for some time. Rank and file members will tend to like OSTA (the One Subject at a Time Act), once they know about. It will make them more powerful in relation to Congressional leaders.

This explains why OSTA has been introduced in five congressional sessions, now including this session…

Rep. Russ Fulcher [R-ID-1] is the new OSTA sponsor for the current Congress.

The new bill number for OSTA is HR 2240. And we already have 7 co-sponsors! Notice that none of them are in the leadership.

Rep. Tipton, Scott R. [R-CO-3]
Rep. Norman, Ralph [R-SC-5]
Rep. Gosar, Paul A. [R-AZ-4]
Rep. Meadows, Mark [R-NC-11]
Rep. Brooks, Mo [R-AL-5]
Rep. Massie, Thomas [R-KY-4]
Rep. Posey, Bill [R-FL-8]

If you live in those districts, thank them in front of your Senators. And if you live elsewhere, tell your Representative (and Senators) to…

Sponsor the One Subject at a Time Act

While this bill is new, we need to press hard to get new co-sponsors quickly. The best way to do that is for even more people to ask their reps to co-sponsor. And the proven way to get those people is with advertising. Last year, we were able to use advertising, during a three month test period, to find more than 1,600 new people to pressure Congress. Please start a pledge or make a contribution so we can kick this process into gear!

Thank you for being an ACTIVE DC Downsizer,

Jim Babka, President
Downsize DC
