Presidents addicted to false flags & breaking the Constitution, Syria Edition

The terrible record of playing “world police” in Syria. Retweet

Quote of the Day: “The Constitution vests the power of declaring war with Congress. Therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.” – George Washington

Please read the sample letter to Congress below. If it fits your views, please… [Are you being lied to about Syria?]

  • Share it with others whom you think might also agree, AND…
  • Send the letter to Congress using our campaign to stop policing the world {link expired}, or…
  • Edit the letter to better meet your needs

The hardwired message to Congress for this campaign reads…

Defend America only. Do not manipulate or police the world.

Here’s the sample letter to Congress…

You were not elected to represent the Military Industrial Complex or the foreign policy establishment, or even your own political party. You were elected to represent your constituents, including me. Here’s my position on the Syria bombings…

If the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was an undeclared act of war then so is this Syria attack. The Constitution gives the President zero power to start wars. That power is reserved to Congress. The President’s role as “commander-in-chief” is only relevant in the event of an attack on the U.S. or a formal declaration of war. Neither thing happened in this case. Thus…

The President is guilty of both a war crime and a crime against the Constitution. You may be guilty of the same if you refuse to resist the President’s action. I deny consent for you and your associates to commit crimes in my name.

Neither the War Powers Act nor the 9/11 AUMF (Authorization to Use Military Force) let you or the President off the hook. The Syrian government is a sovereign state and not a terrorist organization. It had nothing to do with 9/11, so the AUMF does not apply. The AUMF is also unconstitutional, as is the War Powers Act. Because of this…

I want you to take immediate action to repeal both the War Powers Act and all outstanding AUMF’s. But that’s only the start…

I also want you to stop funding Islamist terror groups in Syria. Congress and President Obama appear to have spent more than $1 billion to train such groups, including ISIS. http://theantimedia.org/trump-twitter-al-qaeda-syria/. This is a crime against humanity. Please announce on your website that you will join with Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard to end this crime.

This is especially important given the possibility that the recent chemical attacks were conducted by Congress’s terrorist allies, rather than by Assad. I have reason to suspect this because, sadly, we have been through this kind of thing before. President Obama used two 2013 attacks to justify action against the Assad government. But a U.N. investigation later determined that the attacks had been carried out by Syrian rebels, NOT the Syrian government. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-22424188

Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh came to the same conclusion about the second attack. Even worse, the Obama administration tried to frame Assad without even investigating the prime suspect, al-Nusra, a terror group with known access to nerve agents. https://www.lrb.co.uk/v35/n24/seymour-m-hersh/whose-sarin

In addition…

CNN has published evidence that U.S. defense contractors have trained Syrian rebels to capture and secure chemical weapons. This suggests that rebels could have gained such weapons with U.S. assistance. http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/09/sources-defense-contractors-training-syrian-rebels-in-chemical-weapons/

Wikileaks disclosures also suggest that U.S. forces have contemplated conducting a “false flag” attack to frame the Assad government. http://web.archive.org/web/20130129213824/http:/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2270219/U-S-planned-launch-chemical-weapon-attack-Syria-blame-Assad.html

I’m also led to wonder why Syria would conduct a chemical attack now, when they were expecting a more relaxed approach from the Trump administration. It seems like the last thing Assad would do. This chemical attack has the stench of a “false flag” operation. So…

Be clear about this, I do NOT believe politicians who use horror stories to justify war. There have been too many wars started for false reasons. Look up the following examples…

* Remember the Maine
* Gulf of Tonkin
* Iraq weapons of mass destruction

In review, you must…

* Introduce legislation forbidding further attacks on Syria
* Introduce legislation repealing the War Powers Act and all existing AUMFs
* Introduce legislation to end U.S. funding of all Islamist groups anywhere in the world

If you fail to do these things, then you will be governing without my consent. I will be watching to see what you do, and do not do.

P.S. “This system will not hurry us into war. It is calculated to guard against it. It will not be in the power of a single man or a single body of men to involve us in such distress, for the important power of declaring war is vested in the legislature at large. This declaration must be made with the concurrence of the House of Representatives. In this circumstance, we may draw the certain conclusion that nothing but our interest can draw us into war.”
– James Wilson, signer of the Declaration of Independence & a delegate to the Constitutional Convention
