The unique patient identifier will subjugate you to federal medical dictators
Jim Babka will be guest-hosting a radio show this afternoon (Thu. 11/11). Details below the signature.
Increasingly, the seemingly kooky become plausible. Claims of a “slippery slope” towards dystopia, were met with derision. But we’ve now seen OUR government do things that were impossible to imagine, just 22 months ago.
Now, we discover that many of your rulers want to give you a new number so as to better track and control you. Specifically, they want to use this number to…
- Dictate your healthcare choices, including with regard to vaccines.
- Move us one step closer to single-payer government “care.”
- Eventually, this scheme will be used to ration care for you and your loved ones.
The deep dangers of the unique patient identifier
Your future ability to receive medical care, or even hold a job or own a gun, may come to depend on your compliance with federal medical dictates that will be tracked through your unique patient identifier.
Back in the 1990s Ron Paul co-sponsored a bill that prohibited unique patient identifiers.
Now, Congress is trying to remove that prohibition. Will people resist? Some will, almost certainly, except…
It’s hard to stop legislation that gets clustered into a sure-pass-appropriations bill.
That’s precisely what is happening with this unique patient identifier proposal. It’s being clustered with the Labor, Education, and Health and Human Services Appropriations bill.
We could start winning. You and I could stop bills like this by rewriting Congressional rules and incentives. We can use the innovative strategies of The 300 and Option Activism to pass the OSTA (One Subject at a Time Act).
You can make this happen
In fact, you can make the OSTA. You can shift congressional incentives, and then we could constantly defeat bad bills.
There are three things to do. Fortunately, they’re each really simple.
First, if you’re not yet one of The 300 for OSTA please rectify that now…
Second, talk to your friends about the unique patient identifier, bill clustering, and the One Subject at a Time Act. This is how you remove the media’s agenda-setting power – by talking to your friends about things that would make a real difference.
Finally, the speed or slowness with which we pass OSTA is almost entirely a function of funding. Funds are presently on slow. Contribute or start a monthly pledge.
