Virginians, Our Liberties Hang in the Balance

In this message…

  • An apology, if we sent you duplicate emails yesterday!
  • NDAA Kidnapping Action Item for Virginians

Quote of the Day: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” — Murphy’s Law

We’ve been using some new email software. Murphy showed up! The result was that some DC Downsizers received duplicate emails from us.

I am very, very sorry for this.

When we realized this, we stopped the message flow. Thus, some did not get my message at all.

If you did NOT receive the message I sent yesterday, which was titled, “Can I do the work of a year in one hour?” please hit Reply to this message, and let us know so that we can send a copy of it to you.

We deeply regret the problem. Thank you for your patience and support.

YOUR LIBERTIES HANG IN THE BALANCE!

I don’t need to repeat what’s wrong with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and its kidnapping (indefinite detention). We’ve covered it several times before.

SEVERAL of our friends have taken this fight to the state level.

Yesterday, the Virginia State Senate narrowly defeated a move to recommit the anti-detention bill, HB 1160, sponsored by Del. Bob Marshall. The effort to recommit would’ve killed the bill for this year. But it failed due to a tie-breaking vote. The Senate agreed to bring the bill to the floor today, Tuesday, February 27.

So, urgent action is needed to flip just ONE VOTE.

What if we could get one state to stand up to the federal government on this issue? Could we expand this movement to other states?

Virginians, we’re counting on you. Please take action.

The Tenth Amendment Center has detailed instructions on how you can help at their website.
